Dragon Ball Super is a globally loved anime, and it deserved a Blu-ray collection that fans could proudly display.

We needed a box big enough to house 10 Steelbook Blu-ray cases, without adding too much weight or cost. But more importantly, we had to honor the legacy of a franchise that’s gone from after-school TV to cultural phenomenon, worn by athletes and admired by celebrities.

This wasn’t just about making a box. It was about elevating a childhood favorite to luxury decor. As the first high-end release for the series, we had to innovate while staying true to 40 years of product history, creating something that appealed to both long-time and new fans.

So, we broke the mold—literally. We crafted a jumbo-sized box from the same material as the Steelbooks, adding silver foil, spot gloss, rich jewel tones, and sleek black for drama. Japanese lettering in a couture-inspired pattern subtly paid homage to the series’ origins, while exclusive artwork on each case highlighted key characters from the story arcs.

The result? Almost 70% of the collection sold out during pre-orders, with fans thrilled to display it as a centerpiece in their collections. The elevated design empowered them to share their love of the series with the world.
